Next stop Cribbs Causeway for Avonmouth bus passengers

From September, the WESTlocal: 40 bus service that I helped to bring about will run from Avonmouth to Cribbs Causeway.

Re-establishing a bus service between Avonmouth and Cribbs Causeway had always been the goal – this was something that my constituents made clear they wanted. But when the first bid was submitted for funding, extending the route beyond Brentry to Cribbs Causeway was not permitted; I was informed this would compete with the commercial 3 and 4 First Bus services.

Now, thanks to the perseverance of the community groups that I brought together to launch this bus service – especially the team at SevernNet – this roadblock has been overcome.
